Brief Program History 
 

 The interdisciplinary graduate program in Radiation Applied Life Science (RALS) was formed in 2003 by the joint effort of Colleges of Medicine, Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Pharmacy of SNU. In 2006, the program was strengthened by joining of Prof. Sung-Joon Ye who is certified by the American Board of Radiology (therapeutic physics). Prof. Junekey Chung was elected as a program director in 2006 and served until June 2010. Prof. Il Han Kim from the department of radiation oncology has been a program director since July 2010. Our program received CAMPAP accreditation of the M.S. program and Ph.D. curriculum in Medical Physics was received CAMPEP accreditation in 2011. In 2013, RALS was changed and merged to Program in Biomedcial Radiation Sciences, Department of Transdisciplinary Studies, Graduate School of Convergence Science and Technology. 

Currently, the BRS program changed and merged to Dept. of Applied Bioengineering (AB), Graduate School of Convergence Science and Technology in 2020.
